On June 14, 2008, a sharp looking Tri-City Young Marines Color Guard was honored in presenting and retiring the Colors at the Vietnam War Traveling Wall Memorial in Moses Lake, Washington. Young Marines representing our Unit were Pvt. Selina Hackney, Pvt. Jorge Avalos, Pvt. Alex Simons and Pvt. Christian Ille...you did an excellent job representing our Unit. OORAH!!
We have quite a selection of photos from this outing, with special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Tonda for taking photos and transporting our Young Marines. Mr. & Mrs. Tonda, along with Mr. McAndrew, were Staff Members responsible for supervising this activity. Thank you, we couldn't have done it without you! As you can see by the photos, it was a beautiful day, a great turnout of people, and a special event for our Unit to participate in. A few years ago, West Richland was honored with hosting the Traveling Wall. If you've never been to one, please try to attend in the future...it is a beautiful, emotional tribute to our brave soldiers who so bravely gave their lives for our FREEDOM. God Bless You and your families for giving the ultimate sacrifice! You will NOT be forgotton!
